Transmission

The transmission module governs the exchange of power between areas. This module sets up the standard straight connection between areas.

To start with, set up two areas in the logical model. By creating a power connection between the two areas, this module sets up a upstream and downstream path for moving power from one area to the next. These up- and downstream cables can have different capacities, see input documentation.

The transmission lines can also have a loss associated with the transmission.

Ramping

It’s possible to put a limit on how fast the transmission of power may increase or decrease at any time step during the simulation. In order to use ramping, set the relevant configuration parameter and supply the ramping limit through the input data.
